Almond Butter and Banana Rice Cakes

August 13, 2015

It doesn’t get any simpler than this. It’s almond butter on a rice cake with bananas and pears.

After I’ve come home from a yoga class or run in the park, I want to eat something fast. This snack is easy to throw together and hits the spot every time. What you eat after a workout is important as it serves to supply your body with new energy that it will use to either refill its muscle glycogen stores or to repair the damaged muscle tissues. This snack is a great combination of complex carbohydrates and protein to do just those things.

June 26, 2014

A few months ago I made the decision to take a break from my beloved blog. It wasn’t an easy decision, but good news is I’m back for more regular posts! Big projects and plans are in the works behind the scenes over here. Taking a break gave me an opportunity to give them the focus they needed. I’ll be sharing more with you all very shortly! In the meantime, I want to hear from you!

I’m so grateful to have you part of the figgy & sprout community and that I get the chance to share my passion with you. I love interacting with you and whenever I get emails and comments from you it makes my day. So, if you feel inclined please comment below by answering one or all of the below questions. Oh, and of course all other comments are more than welcome.

1) What do you LOVE to read about on figgy & sprout – what are your favorite kind of posts?

2) Would you like to see more health/wellness articles and tips?

3) Would you like to receive a weekly or monthly newsletter? If you aren’t already signed up, you can do it here.
